What it is for
A backlink market built around the page that pays you
An affiliate site earns on a handful of URLs. Everything else is feeder content. Links should follow the money, so we sort the work by page type instead of by tool.
The comparison page
The "best X for Y" roundup sits where rivals stack referring domains. Our link-gap sketch shows how to count the gap before you spend.
The single-product review
Narrow queries need fewer links than people fear. Often one relevant placement is enough to test the page. Start with the decision tree.
The buyer's guide
Guides attract natural mentions and carry internal links to the money pages. Fund them second, not first.
The deal or coupon page
Seasonal, thin and short-lived. We would rarely buy links for it. The myth list explains why.
Compare
What a first order looks like for each page type
| Page | First order | Check after | Hold off if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roundup on page two | 2 to 3 readable placements, about $60 to $150 in total | Position in Search Console after six to eight weeks | The page is not indexed yet |
| Fresh single review | 1 placement under $30 | Impressions on the exact product query | The review repeats the manufacturer's copy |
| Buyer's guide | 1 or 2 placements on topical blogs | Clicks from the guide to the money pages | You have no internal links to money pages |
| Seasonal deal page | None | Nothing to check | The page lives for three weeks a year |
Checklist
Seven checks before the basket turns into an order
- The target page is indexed and shows impressions in Search Console.
- You have read the rival's top three links in Ahrefs or Semrush, not only its Domain Rating.
- Every donor row has real articles on it, not only a pricing page.
- Niche and language of the donor match the money page.
- Anchor text is plain: the product name, the brand, or a bare URL.
- Your disclosure sits above the first affiliate link on the page.
- You wrote down the date and the starting position, so the result can be judged later.
Who it is for
How we would spend a first month
Start small. A new affiliate page rarely needs more than a few placements to show whether links are even the bottleneck, and the budget plan puts numbers on that for $100 and for $1,000.
Pay-as-you-go pricing runs from $1 up to about $500 per link, scaling with donor authority, traffic and niche. There is no subscription, so a month of testing costs only the placements you order, and most go live roughly 24 hours after payment.
Be honest about risk. Google's spam policies treat links meant to manipulate ranking as a violation, and only Google decides how a given page is judged. We sell placements, not outcomes, and our teardown shows how to read any offer, ours included.
Timeline
Google changes that shaped review-site links
rel=sponsored and rel=ugc arrive
Google added two link attributes alongside nofollow, and began treating all three as hints. Paid and affiliate links are the intended use for sponsored.
Product reviews update
The first update aimed at thin affiliate reviews. It was followed by further rounds in December 2021 and July 2022.
Helpful content update
A site-wide signal that rewarded pages written for readers. Review sites that copied specs felt it hardest.
Core and spam updates
Review ranking was folded into the core system, and the spam policies gained rules on site reputation abuse and scaled content.
FAQ
Questions affiliate owners type before they buy
- What is a backlink market and how does it work for an affiliate site?
- It is a catalogue where you pick individual donor sites, see their Domain Rating, traffic, niche and price, and pay only for the placements you choose. You add rows to a basket, review it, pay, and the link goes live, usually within about 24 hours.
- Can I buy dofollow backlinks to a page full of Amazon links?
- You can, but the page must deserve it. Links to a thin page of product tiles waste money. Put a real review, original photos or tested notes on the page first, then point links at it and keep your disclosure visible.
- How many links does a review page need to outrank a comparison site?
- There is no fixed number. Count the referring domains of the pages you want to beat, compare their quality with yours, and test with a small order. Narrow product queries usually need far fewer links than broad roundups.
- Will Google penalise me for paid links on a review site?
- Google's policies treat links bought to manipulate ranking as spam, and enforcement can be algorithmic or manual. No marketplace can remove that risk. Buy slowly, favour relevant readable sites, and never put the whole site's income behind one tactic.
- What does one placement cost, and what do I get for it?
- Prices run from $1 to about $500 per link, depending on authority, traffic and niche. You get a permanent dofollow link inside an article that is written automatically and points at your page, or one you supply yourself.
- Do I need to write the article myself?
- No. There are three modes: automatic from your target URL and keyword, your own instructions, or your own finished article. Affiliates who want a particular angle or disclosure wording usually supply the brief or the full text.
- How fast will I see a ranking change?
- Expect weeks, not days. The placement goes live in about a day, but Google must crawl, process and weigh it. Record the starting position, wait six to eight weeks, then judge in Search Console rather than in a rank tracker alone.
- Can an AI agent shop for links on my behalf?
- Yes, through the REST API or MCP with ChatGPT or Claude. An agent can browse donors and fill the basket, but paying the basket is a separate step that you approve yourself. Balance top-ups happen in the dashboard.
